Making law Introduction to municipal law including the Municipal Act, 2001 and the amendments in Bill 130 Occupier’s Liability Act and the Trespass To Property Act Investigation-what to do when an inspector arrives Liabilities arising from roads/bridges Contracts, bonding and insurance Drainage and trees Ethical behaviour of municipal officials Witness preparation, records, guidelines Mail receptacles on road allowances Labour and employment law Civil litigation |
| Objectives |
This course will introduce students to municipal law in general as well as specific issues related to their legal obligations as road supervisors. |
| Who Should Attend |
This course is aimed at road supervisors, forepersons, and other personnel involved with supervision in a municipal setting. |

Successful completion of both parts of the T.J. Mahony Road School |
