Municipal DataWorks is a web-based asset management solution for municipalities to maintain data on the extent and condition of all their hard assets. MDW supports over 120 unique asset types.
Municipal DataWorks has been developed under a Public-Private Partnership with the goal to provide asset management capabilities to even the smallest of municipalities. These capabilities include;
- Data capture and update of asset inventory and conditions,
- Inspection modules for roads and bridges based on Ontario standards,
- Tangible Capital Asset valuation module to meet PSAB 3150 requirements,
- Mobile module for capture and update of information in the field.
The Municipal DataWorks solution is built in a non-proprietary format using open standards. This allows third-party software application integration with MDW using a web service interface.
