The Municipal Asset Management Regulation has been posted to the Ontario Environmental Registry

Today, the Ministry of Infrastructure posted the draft Municipal Asset Management Planning Regulation. Stakeholders have 60 days to comment on the regulation.

The regulation includes new requirements for municipal asset management planning such as:

  • Incorporating levels of services into your AMP;
  • Lifecycle costs include significant operating costs;
  • The need for a strategic asset management policy; and
  • Incorporating growth and risk (for municipalities with populations over 25,000) into your AMP.
