Are You Ready for Your Driverless Shuttle?
Lauren Isaac – Director of Business Initiatives, EasyMile
January 23rd, 2019 @ 11:00am - 12:00pm

Driverless vehicles have the potential to improve safety, provide new mobility options, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. On the other hand, they also have the potential to increase vehicle miles traveled, worsen congestion, and decrease travel reliability. Cities, public transit agencies, universities, and employers can get ahead of this by introducing shared, autonomous, electric vehicles today! This session will introduce EasyMile’s vision for our driverless future.

EasyMile provides electric, driverless shuttles that are designed to cover short distances in multi-use environments. This presentation will include an overview of the EZ10, our driverless shuttle, and how it is being deployed around the world to address many of today’s transportation challenges.

Lauren Isaac leads the company's North America efforts in partnerships, government regulations, and business development. Prior to working at EasyMile, Lauren worked at a consulting company where she was involved in various projects involving advanced technologies that can improve mobility in cities.

Lauren wrote a guide titled “Driving Towards Driverless: A Guide for Government Agencies” regarding how local and regional governments should respond to autonomous vehicles in the short, medium, and long term. Lauren maintains the blog, “Driving Towards Driverless”, and has presented on this topic at many industry conferences.
